A March Wedding at Norfolk botanical Gardens with Happy hour hostess
At Norfolk Bontanical Gardens
Spring has sprung ya’ll!! If I were to describe the perfect spring wedding, this one right here is it. A gorgeous soft palette of light purples and blues were placed throughout the event from the soft romantic bridesmaids gowns to the water color florals on the invitation suite.
We were lucky enough to spend the gorgeous evening surrounded by the fresh Cherry blossom blooms while watching the New Mr & Mrs Streett say I do in the Renaissance Garden.
It started off sunny and brisk but these two received a little good luck on their wedding day by surprise. Right as the couple’s ceremony began, a few raindrops could be felt. Rain only means one thing, that their knot is tighter and harder to break apart. It was like the sky apologized right at sunset by portraying a cotton candy colored painting in the sky just in time to complete their outdoor portraits.
This party crew Danced ALL night thanks to Roger Cruz spinning beats and at the end of the evening and the couple was sent off with a late night bubble exit. Thank you Sarah and David for having us as part of your vendor team, it was a great time!
A huge thank you goes out to our stellar vendor crew!

Lunenburg County, Virginia
In the small county of Lunenburg you will find a beautiful Estate. It holds its very own tiny white Church known as Reddy Creek Christian Church. This beautiful A frame white church with the green metal roof is where where Harrison and Selina said I do. Guests were seated in white church pews, some had a great birds eye view from the quaint balcony above, as they listened to the couple exchange vows. Not a dry eye could be found in the room after everyone spoke their testimonies about the couples love.
Selina and Harrison partied under a full moon that evening. Cocktail hour was on the side patio of the gorgeous Estate home where you could see Harrison’s latest project, a Greenery wall with “The Pierces” lit up in neon. It provided the best backdrop spot for guests to snap photos of themselves and add the to the couples guest book. The party was nothing short of amazing. I think just about everyone made their way to the dance floor. If not you could find them sipping a cocktail out of their custom cups or koozies to celebrate the New Mr & Mrs.
The night was a dream and it could not have happened without a great team (and Bridal party crew)
Special Thanks to JLM designs and Events, Waverly Estate and all other vendors!
These two souls were meant for each other and you can tell the moment you see Elliott look at his new wife, Julie. I was honored to work with them on their wedding day. (Along with their sweet pup Wayne who was a great supervisor during my bridal prep shots) Julie began her bridal day at her mothers house with her family nearby. Once final touches were set, the girls head over to the historic church for the sharing of vows.
A small group of loved ones gathered in the cozy historic Lynnhaven Presbyterian church (which is probably one of the most gorgeous churches I have ever photographed!) Its dark wood ceiling, arches and stained glass windows are never to be forgotten. The couple shared smiles and laughs and then were whisked out of the church in a sea of bubbles. The thoughtful couple surprised their ring bearer and flower girls with a limo ride to the reception dinner.
They ended the windy chilly November night dining with guests in the romantic candlelit room downstairs at Steinhilbers restaurant. It was a gorgeous evening for a great couple.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Briggs!
A Snowy Christmas vow renewal
A dash of snow, Mistletoe margaritas, a caricature artist and her Grandpas old mint blue and white Ford are just a few of the details that stick out to me about Jen and Rick’s day. All of those things are fun touches but the most memorable moment during this vow renewal was when their little Henry (who was also celebrating his 4th birthday this day) grabbed both of their hands as they continued to promise forever to each other. (Cue the tears!)
The night continued with the sweetest toasts from their family members and friends. Jen was a vision as she twirled with her new hubby on the dance floor in her gorgeous gown. Even her gown had a sentimental touch, if you looked closely at her straps you could find tiny pieces of lace from her grandmother’s wedding dress sewn in. The evening wrapped up with a happy birthday song for Henry and his special cake made by Shortcakes sweets. Only a snowy exit could complete this perfect Christmas vow renewal as the couple made their way towards the vintage Ford.
Congratulations Jen & Rick, it was an honor to document your day alongside this fun vendor crew!
