What started as an introduction from their friend mutual friend Rose, at a beach volleyball game, would lead these two down the aisle at the Rustic Flyway Lodge.
It all started at the beach where Lindsey was playing Volleyball but their first official date was a little bit different. Lindsey always celebrates the start of summer with an end of the year school pool party celebration. It was the perfect opportunity to invite Ryan over for their first official date. Ryan walked in with a case of beer, mind you this was the first time he was meeting ALL of Lindsey’s family. He takes a step into the party and hears “You are welcome to enter.” Coming from Lindseys dad, Jimmy. From that point on Ryan was loved by the whole family
New Years eve, they rung in with Lindseys family and two of their best friends from Richmond. They rented a home in Cape Charles VA. The morning of New Year’s Eve the family decided to brave the 10 degree temperatures to get a picture by the famous LOVE sign. As they were sitting in the car with the heat blasting, Lindsey dared Ryan to go out on the pier with her.
Ryan took that as the perfect opportunity to propose. He ran over to the car that Lindseys brother was in to tell him what was happening and get ready to film. They get all the way out to the very end of the pier, She is snap chatting away paying no mind. Lindsey took a selfie with Ryan and momentarily turned around to mess with her phone. During that second Ryan got down on one knee. The rest of the family was watching from the comfort of their heated cars but were equally joyful. They took photos at the love sign (which later they recreated for their engagement session with their puppy girl, Harley). They celebrated with Champagne for the rest of the day.
The day came, a gorgeous September day with not a cloud in sight. Barely any humidity. The sun shined down so bright on these two as they exchanged vows with the Currituck sound as their backdrop. Lindseys brother, Loren conducted the ceremony. Bridesmaids were in Navy blue and the two angelic flower girls made it down the aisle like professionals. Harley, the couples 7 year old Boxer, was escorted down the aisle by her dad in his Dress Blues.
The Reception was a foodies dream. Black pelican catering had a taco bar, BBQ and more. Shortcakes sweets provided every type of sweet your heart desires and the chilly mermaid arrived as a night cap with their GELATO truck. It was a perfection. Lindsey + Ryan you know i LOVED working with you two. Hands down I would do it again over and over!!! Congratulations!!

It is officially September and in photography world that means sunflowers and wedding bells! Ryan & Tiffany will be tying the knot in just a few days. Tiffany, being the outdoorsy, photography loving girl she is, had a vision of her engagements in a sunflower field.
The lush yellow field not only represents her upcoming wedding flowers but ties in with her engagement story. When Ryan proposed he was given Tiffany's grandmothers ring. Tiffany is named after her grandmother, Rose. To honor her they took the ring to Madisons jewelers and placed the diamonds into a Rose setting. Now Grandma Rose will always be with Tiffany as she becomes a new bride and starts her journey as wife!
Stay tuned for their upcoming wedding at the Military Aviation Museum!
This stunning couple met on a blind date set up by mutual friends. Whitney knew they had something special from the start. Dinner wrapped up and these two found themselves chatting late into the evening while sitting in Whitney's driveway.
Time passes and love begins to dream about the future. Nothing makes a couple think about love more than Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, Shane & Whitney both had to work on the holiday itself, so they decided to go to Coastal Grill a day later. After a lovely dinner, they headed back home...Whitney could barely get her heels off before Shane popped the question! They spent the rest of the evening calling family and friends to share the great news.
On a beautiful July day, everyone they love gathered on Shane's family farm to share in their vows. Whitney was a vision of loveliness in a beautiful David Tutera gown & Badgley Mischka pumps. She carried her something borrowed, a handkerchief passed down over the years for brides to wear in her family (every bride who used this heirloom has their name printed on the box). Whitney's daughter & Shane's niece took their role as flower girls very seriously. Some say these cuties may have even stolenthe show! Whitney's father escorted her down the aisle and up the stairway of the historic 1794 farm house. Breath-taking is the only description that will do.
Thunderstorms had threatened the forecast all week, but Shane & Whitney had extra luck on their side. Don, Shane's dad happened to find not one but two 4 leaf clovers the morning of the wedding. He had them pressed and presented them to the couple during his welcome speech at the reception.
Guests mingled under the trees during cocktail hour and then danced the night away to tunes from the Hotcakes. Laughter and happiness floated through the back yard like bubbles where they were surrounded by lush greenery amidst splashes of grey and blush tones thoughtfully chosen for this special night. It will live in everyone's hearts forever....but especially Whitney and Shane’s.
