A Burgundy and Gold Fall Hermitage Museum and Gardens Wedding

A Romantic Garden wedding in at the Norfolk Hermitage Museum: Devon and Lauren

Meet Lauren and Devon. Their style is one of my favorites. A super moody and romantic theme that includes a rich color palette of burgundy and greens with pops of gold that classically portrays Laurens love for Halloween.

When the two got engaged, Devon planned out a romantic dinner in Williamsburg, where Lauren had no idea he was going to pop the question. After she said I do, he ended the night with a ghost tour, the perfect finale for his bride to be.

The threat of Covid had the couple guessing if their perfect October date would be pushed to early spring. With Less than 2 weeks to go, their luck had changed for the better. All guests were able to witness the start of their journey as Mr & Mrs Ward. The cool night was perfect for dancing to DJ Julz Gat. Guests mingled around the tent which had a romantic glow from the twinkling candles placed strategically by the wandering petal in tall golden candelabras draped burgundy and greenery.

Guests tossed lavender petals at the two as they headed off for their final kiss before entering the Rolls Royce ending the night on a perfect note.

A huge thank you to the vendor team that created this beautiful day

Rustic Harvest Moon Wedding at The Flyway Lodge

Shannon + Jordan’s wedding in Knotts Island North Carolina

Ready to witness a beautiful wedding under the Harvest Moon event? There was no better night for Shannon and Jordan to share exchange vows. After all their first date was 10 Halloweens ago.

Shannon had her eyes set on Jordan for a long time...  even though they never talked she had a huge crush on Jordan. She would always ask her dad if she could go with him to pick up boards from Jordan's dads shop in hopes of seeing him there. That plan never panned out but eventually these two connected.

The first time they ever hung out was Senior year of high school. Then the began dating the Fall of Freshman year when they went to a halloween party. Fall tends to be their season ;)

Jordan proposed to Shannon on a dock in Sandbridge 9 years ago which led them to their wedding date of this October. Shannon wanted to incorporate their Halloween season by adding pumpkins, and a skull to the top of her wedding cake. It was a fun vibe that created a haunted but magical affair at the Rustic Flyway Lodge.

They knew from the moment they drove down the long gravel driveway which was surrounded by massive trees, that this was the exact Rustic place in the woods where they wanted to say I do at.

Shannon always had a vision of wearing a black long sleeved crop top dress-white was NEVER in her wedding vision. The moment she got engaged that all changed. She started wearing white all the time. When she met with Ashley at Studio I do, she found the perfect white Boho dress and added sleeves to it, so Shannon could say I do in a white gown. Shannon admitted she was glad to have worn white because after trying on all the black gowns, it felt as if she was wearing her work clothes.

Shannon and her girls created their floral crowns and boutonnieres that tied in with her color palette of mauve, taupes and burgundy's. She wanted to stick with a Rustic woodland themed with hints of halloween. The ceremony arc was created by the talented Leslie hartig floral designs, which entailed a variety of flowers that created the shape of a Crescent moon.

The rustic lodge was the perfect back drop for guests to gather and have a cocktail while lounging on the vintage furniture from Mad Hatter Vintage rentals. These two shared their first dance under the glowing twinkle lights and partied the night away!

Congratulations Shannon & Jordan!
