A Romantic Purple Spring Wedding

Ryan and Raegan

Raegan and Ryan, a kind, genuine and grateful couple. The journey to their wedding was longer than most, but this love story began with a heartfelt and thoughtful proposal.

Now, if you look closely at Raegan’s florals you will see hints of orange represented in the flowers. When these two began dating, Ryan would always give her orange roses. Reagan recalls, “He liked to buy me orange because they are a mix between yellow roses which represent friendship and red roses which represent love”.

One very late evening, after Raegan got home from work, she entered through the garage where a trail of red tea lights led her to the kitchen table. The Gin Blossoms "Follow You Down" was playing in the background. The Gin Blossoms are one of the couples favorite bands and Ryan actually flew Raegan to New York to see them play once.

From the kitchen, Raegan was able to see a slideshow of photos of them playing on their tv. On the kitchen table were candles, a dozen orange roses and a card. The card described their past and how they met. The trail of candles continued to the counter and a dozen red roses and another card. That card was about their present and how far they've come. Then Raegan walked into the living room and Ryan was standing with their pup Myla and more roses. There was a stool set up in front of him with more candles and a third card. That card was about their future and ended with “will u be my future forever?”

Raegan looked up and Ryan was down on his knee to ask the most important question. She squealed so loud that he had to start over. Being the romantic he is, Ryan even had her favorite scent, apple cinnamon tea lights diffusing in the background with champagne chilling. Tell me that was not one amazing proposal?

Special thank you to this vendor team who made this day possible!

A November Soiree at the Lesner Inn Virginia Beach : Anna + Alex

November 7th, the sun was proudly shining and the weather was a complete dream. The boys in their blue tux’s were enjoying a few pre-ceremony beers on the “Next Chapter” (a very fitting name for this day). It was the Father of the Brides boat, which was a great spot for the groom to read the letter his bride wrote him.

The Lesner Inn was glowing it’s warm golden hues as guests arrived and grabbed their custom apple mimosa’s, which complimented the bridesmaids gowns perfectly, to sip on before the ceremony began.

Anna and Alex decided on a first look before the wedding. Alex was tucked away downstairs and when Anna surfaced from the back hallway to tap her grooms shoulder, he had the reaction of a man who just won the lottery. Which he completely did. Anna’s teary, million dollar smile was also one I will never forget.

The two shared their I do’s right as the sun was setting. Which is probably what every bride and groom envisions on their wedding day.

The crowd was ready to celebrate and they did all evening long! You could find Anna and Alex, literally dancing to every corner of the ball room to say hello to guests and even on the way to cut their cake. (The cutest!)

I do have to say, my favorite moment that night was during the speeches, specifically Mike’s, who is Anna’s father. He was talking of Alex and the first moments when he met him. Then he proceeded to say how he was so proud of him to be his new son. At that moment Anna had the sweetest smile, nuzzled into Alex’s neck (you can see that cuteness in their slideshow)

I did not realize this would be our last wedding of 2020 until last week (thanks pandemic) but it was a great way to end our season.

Congratulations Anna and Alex!

Family Farm Wedding Portraits in Suffolk Virginia :Rebecca & Josh

A Suffolk Virginia Family Cotton Farm Bridal gallery

It seems to be a common theme, Covid pushing back another wedding. Luckily these two took a modern approach to their pandemic dilemma. When the news hit that their June date was a no go for their big dream wedding, they threw together an intimate family and friends ceremony in her moms back yard.

Fast forward to their rescheduled wedding date which was this October. Yet again, covid struck so the couple decided to throw on their best outfits and meet out on Josh’s parents Cotton farm. Their bridal portraits could not be anymore gorgeous! Thank y’all for fueling my farm loving soul!

Jenn and Joe: Beach inspired summer elopement at Baja Restaurant, Sandbridge, VA

A little romantic a little modern and a little boho elopement at Baja Restaurant, Sandbridge, VA

Let’s meet Jenn and Joe. Their perfect date idea of tacos and margaritas on a beach somewhere SPEAKS to my soul! That’s actually what these two friends become soulmate had on their first date.

The engagement was a total surprise to Jenn while they were up at Snowshoe resort in WV. Both Joe and Jenn work in the restaurant business so the winter time is their getaway from the job. Joe planned a dinner and outdoor stroll after for the two. While passing the huge Christmas tree, Joe dropped to one knee and popped the question. Jenn was shocked but of course she said YES : )

Although COVID threw a wrench into the original big day, Jenn and Joe celebrated with a smaller, more intimate elopement. The two had a small elopement at Baja Restaurant in Sandbridge, VA with the colors of sage, light blue, and white abound. The weather was beautiful and let me tell you about that sunset lighting, made for gorgeous pictures of the already astonishing bride and her new groom.

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Shetler! Thank you so much for letting us be apart of your big day!

A romantic rainy day wedding in Virginia beach: Brooke and Tony

When the forecast called for rain on this day, it was no joke. The weather stood strong and poured on us the whole time but Brooke and Tony were simply amazing when it came running outside in the pouring rain under a tiny clear umbrella for just a couple of quick portraits.

The crowd was great and danced all night long. Rain and mud, Brooke and Tony made it the best day.

Thank you to our amazing team of vendors!
