The Cross Family: Flyway Lodge Knotts Island NC

We spent a pretty Saturday Morning at one of North Carolina's newest wedding venues, The Flyway Lodge. It literally has the best view out onto the water, a gorgeous rustic barn, a tree lined driveway and plenty of greenery. Special thanks to Allison for letting us come play at the Lodge! Also folks if you are looking for a great Airbnb, then you should stay at the Flyway!

Every year I get together with the Cross Family and update Lucas's dump truck picture. Soon enough that tall little guy will need a real size dump truck. He can still wiggle his little bottom in that one for now though! 

Rustic Summer Sunset Engagement: Dylan and Kendall

I cannot wait for Kendall & Dylan's big day! Dylan popped the question to her in such an amazing way... on a trip in the DR! Uhm heck yes!! He told Kendall when he planned on popping the question, that she would never expect it. She said she was DEFINITELY surprised! Gotta love a good romantic engagement story. 

We still have some time to go until their big day arrives but we had an amazing engagement session last week. The humidity was low and Kendall incorporated her wedding colors in her outfit choice. We even got to throw in a good ole shotgun shell with her ring. I love detail shots like that!  Enjoy this engagement sesh!

Rustic Knotts Island engagement session: Jessica & Scott

Ahhh I just cannot get enough of these vibrant bright colors from Jessica and Scott's engagement session! If you had to ask me to narrow down my favorite photo from this session I would not be able to because i am OBSESSED!! Initially we had talked about photographing down in Carova since it is a special spot for these two but then Jessica's dad found this amazing hidden gem for us to photograph at. Let me tell you it is a photographers dream or maybe just this girls dream. Ya'll must know by now that I have an obsession with old barns and tons of field that spread that golden light which paints the most breathtaking backdrop at sunset. Besides the insanely gorgeous backdrop lets discuss how adorable Jessica & Scott are?! Their sweet little smiles turn into full out laughs and silly faces but I absolutely adore it! Jessica almost looks like a modern day snow white in her white dress walking through the woods at golden hour. Now let me stop yapping so you can start to swoon over this gorgeous Spring time-rustic engagement session!

Rustic Engagement Virginia Beach: Brittany and Seth

Brittany and Seth met me on a chilly evening at one of my favorite old barns. They brought along their cute little pup Brooke who sported their wedding flower perfectly. Doesnt that sunflower make her eyes pop?! Brittany and Seth are tying the knot this coming October. She is going to be one gorgeous bride! Congrats you two!!

Beech Hill Farm Tn wedding: Connie & Jeff

Connie and Jeff tied the knot at the gorgeous Beech Hill Farm in TN. It was a gorgeous fall October evening. The forecast was calling for rain all day but we ended up having the perfect overcast day. All of Connie's choices for colors were vibrant and bright for fall and placed them in pumpkins as centerpieces. They complimented the the changing leaves and scenery perfectly. Connie and Jeff are close friends with the owners of Beech Hill farm which made it the perfect location for them to exchange vowels. Connie's cousin sang at the ceremony as they exchanged vows. This wedding venue is one of the most amazing I have ever photographed out. From the bridal suite log cabin to the breathtaking scenery, it is definitely one you would want to consider for your big day! Go check them out!
